Is Christmas time the right time for bug zapping?

Bug Zapping and Christmas, a good match?

Around Christmas time, it goes without saying that most people generally have an added heap of responsibilities and stress ladled onto their proverbial plates, and combine that fact with the colder weather in the Northern portion of United States, and it’s easy to see why a large portion of the population tends to overlook their moral responsibility to continue their own personal insect killing rampages throughout the festive holiday season.
However, to the educated observer, when the underlying fundamentals on which the holidays are actually based are carefully analyzed, the concepts of relentless bug zapper racket usage and Christmas actually seem to go hand in hand.

Christmas is all about giving.

As the old adage goes, it’s better to give than to receive, and is there any better way to simultaneously celebrate Christmas and give back to society as a whole then to zap and burn a stinkbug to death?

Think about it, as we all know, the sad reality is that there are always a lot of needy less fortunate people who may not be able to experience the holidays in the same fashion as most of society is accustomed to, and while supporting local charities, giving to the Salvation Army, and contributing to food banks is always advised and commendable – if you take a second to think outside of the box, and look beyond these layers of socially obligatory seasonal support, and think about whether or not there is anything else you can do to help the less fortunate, you may come to a startling conclusion.

Is the gift of bug death a true Christmas treat?

The fact of the matter is, needy people don’t just need things, as in “physical things”, they also need to not be bitten by things. Frankly, if you are used to being attacked by spiders every night, a welt free evening is just as delectable as any week old fruitcake.

So sit back, relax, sip on some eggnog, snack on an overpriced Christmas cookie, and electric bug zapper murder some insects to death. Their sizzling carcasses will provide some festive ambiance amidst the holiday lights, plus, it’s just the right thing to do. Every mosquito you kill is a mosquito that will not bite the less fortunate, every cockroach you scorch is one the will not be making its way into the local soup kitchen, and every spider you slaughter is one that won’t be slipping into someone’s stocking.

If you think about it, Christmas time is very much so the right time for bug zapping, perhaps more so than any time of the year.
