There is truly nothing like a botfly video to brighten your day!
Do you live your life with a glass is half full type of mentality? If so, look on the bright side of things, at least you don’t have a human botfly maggot egg buried under your skin, and if you did, at least it’s not all caught on video. Oh yea, the infamous botfly is a very real and very sickening creature that will most definitely lay fresh eggs inside of you, and surprise...
It's the heat of your own body that will then cause those hungry squirming botfly maggots to hatch to life!
Don’t go to Costa Rica without a bug zapper in your bag, that’s all we are saying, and If you are lucky enough to come home from vacation with the most special of gifts (a writhing bot fly larva burrowing underneath your skin), its going to be highly difficult to remove the parasite. See, Bot Flies typically don’t like to leave the comfy confines of your inner flesh, so the harsh fact of the matter is that you are actually going to need to kill the botfly while it is living inside of you, and then squeeze out its dead carcass. If you try to pull out a Bot Fly while it’s still alive and wriggling inside your body, part of it can break off inside of you and potentially cause a fatal infection.Don’t worry; it’s not all that bad in actuality. Just scour your outer skin until you locate the breathing hole of the beast that’s living inside of you, and then cover that hole with nail polish or Vaseline to suffocate the large maggot so it dies. Then you can squeeze out the rotting larva, easy breezy. Just make sure you take a picture or a video, because the botfly removal process is sure be a cherished memory you will want to keep forever.
We have assembled a lovely collection of botfly videos for your viewing enjoyment. Sure there is lots of bot fly information floating around the web, but nothing is quite as delightful or insightful as a real life botfly video. By the way, we would not recommend eating cottage cheese while watching any of these videos, but you might want to keep your bug zapper racket nearby, as you are likely to suddenly develop a short fuse and an itchy trigger finger when it comes to anything that might be buzzing nearby.
