Spider Attack Video

Posted On: Thursday, September 02, 2010

Behold the now mildly infamous and slightly viral “Big Daddy Spider Attack” video

This gem was supposedly popularized originally on the Jay Leno TV show. The action centers around a mild mannered Australian fellow who makes the foolish decision to try and capture a huntsman spider inside a stock piece of kitchen Tupperware, and of course, knee slapping hilarity ensues. His infant daughter is on hand to witness the stupidity, and the entire spider attack video is caught on film.

All joking aside, the huntsman spider is a vicious creature, and it deserves to be eradicated from the face of the planet. These eight legged monstrosities can be found just about everywhere in Australia, and also inhabit China, Japan, and can even be occasionally found in certain southern U.S. states – yikes! Fortunately they are not deadly to humans, but they will attack, they will bite, and as the goober in this spider attack video realized, they will put up a fight!

These entomological wastes of space don’t even build webs. They live in tree bark, frequently creep into people’s homes, and have even been known to snack on a gecko from time to time. Female huntsman spiders are very prone to attacking, and will violently defend their egg sacks. Should you be so lucky as to stumble upon a huntsman spider egg sac, do the world a favor and stomp the living hell out of it - lest you end up attacked and embarrassed, or worse yet, both - and caught on video!

The sheer existence of a an attack prone spider as large and kill worthy as the huntsman in this video...

Should serve as a stark reminder to the population of the world as to why it’s always smart to stay vigilant, and too strapped with a bug zapper, and if you need any further evidence as to why bug zapper ownership should literally be legally mandated, you need only watch the included spider attack video, which should serve as arachnophobia inducing visual evidence strong enough to stand up in any court of law.
